Sparring
- Adults and older teens are invited to begin sparring after
the introductory period. All Karate America students
must begin sparring at Purple belt. We use a point sparring format, light to no head
contact; we call it "a game of tag."
Black Belts use moderate head contact.
Self
Defense
- All Karate America Stoughton programs include a self defense
component. Skills include personal safety for kids; lines of defense, off-line
blocks/strikes, joint locks, pressure points, sweeping, and
jujitsu-based ground work.
Black Belt Team I includes the following belts.
